I am currently recording and performing with George Adelo "aka" Georgie Angel and his "White Buffalo Band". George has toured extensively with Jr Brown and is a great picker and friend. They were on the Dylan tour with Jimmy Vaughn and have performed all over the planet. We performed recently at the outdoor "Santa Fe Bandstand 2016" concert series which is so much fun. We have performed at many NM shows and venues including "The Gathering of Nations" celebration in Albuquerque where it was such an honor to perform.
Today my main rock influences are Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Jeff Beck, Hendrix, The Allman Brothers and waaaaay to many list at this point. It's still going on with Sonny Landreth, Robert Cray and Tim Pierce. I love hot rod jamming alt country, indie rock, bluegrass and the jam bands who fuse it with rock, reggae and the blues. Music is a God given gift in my life that imparts hope, inspiration and joy. It can be very contagious if you let it!
I have performed across the US, parts of Canada, and was fortunate to be able to perform overseas with Steve Archuleta and "The Eversole Band" in Malaysia, the Philipines, India and Hong Kong.
I have also performed with, recorded with, and/or shared the stage with many talented friends and musicians through the years including: Faith Amour, Steven Bruton, Jr. Brown, Guitar Shorty, Pete Amahl, Michael Amber, Jay Boy Adams, Zenobia, Earl "Pool" Ball, Harry Burkstaller, Henson Cargill, Cadillac Bob and Friends (with Chuck Coulter, Joni Griffin, Kathy Gutierrez, Dan Dowling, Michael Fleming, Steve Foss, Doug & Barbi Gibson, R.C. Gariss, Ray Valdez, David Frebolin, Johnny Truitt, John Griffin and Ron Lipton) Joe Don Davidson, Bobby Keys, Tone Forest and the Canyon Road Blues Band with Tiho Dimitrov and Brant Leeper, Wayne Gailey, Anthony Leon, Ben Lucero, Gyn Lenore, Freddie Lopez, Barry McCoy, Eric Montoya, David Smith, Dennis Soto, Irvin Trujillo, Jimmy DeMars, Dave Abeyta, Zeke Severson, Karen Setters, Cissy Rider, Jimmy Varela, Jim Westbay, NM Hometown boys The "Mystics" with Travis Keesee, Eddie Leamon, Jerry "Snuffy" Smith, Mike Castleberry, and MixGeneration with Orlando Navarette, Pat Vest and Paul Crook. Working with great players and singers like these, you always learn so much. It really keeps you on your toes musically and you have a ton of fun.

A Little History
I was raised along the Pecos river in southern New Mexico and began playing violin and guitar at age nine. By the time I was sixteen I was performing professionally across New Mexico and West Texas. I studied the country blues of Son House, Lightnin' Hopkins and crossover folk/blues artists such as Odetta and Ritchie Havens; bluegrass by Bill Monroe and the country heritage of the Carter Family under Master luthier Lynn Wooldrige. He is a great teacher, super musician, friend, and my uncle as well.
With the british invasion going on, I was performing Yard Birds and Beatles songs with a NM band called the "Mystics". Influences are T-Bone Walker, BB, Freddie, and Albert King; Jimmy Vaughn, Hubert Sumlin, Jimmy Reed, Johnny Winter, Muddy Waters, and Buddy Guy. Add the bottleneck slide of Elmore James, Robert Johnson, and later on Duane Allman and Taj Mahal. I am a big fan of Buffalo Springfield, The Byrds and Poco. While I was on the west coast, I became very interested in The Flying Burrito Brothers and New Riders of The Purple Sage where rock, country and the blues were being fused in such a new and innovative way.
I returned to New Mexico and began jamming with John "Jumbo" Garcia, Michael Strother and Doc Rand. I recorded with them on the Dell Sound sessions produced by Harry Balk. It was John who showed me how to get into the tone zone. He turned me on to Curtis Mayfield and smoking "Black Gospel" music. I also worked with Marty Cotinola, Mike Booth, Jesse Cann and Matt Chacon. We did Matt's first record as the Big "M" Boogie Band. Matt was a great songwriter and front man signed to a west coast label.
I studied with Howard Roberts and his jazz influence allowed me to take the limits off of playing guitar. Cadillac Bob and Friends offered me a spot on guitar. We recorded a song that I'd written earlier entitled "Going to Santa Fe Blues" and it won placement on New Mexico's first Enchantment series recording. Cadillac Bob is a high octane jam band still performing in New Mexico. During this time I got counsel from the great Bo Diddley who lived in NM and would sometimes just show up unexpectedly.
I left NM for Atlanta GA to work in the "Dry Ice Blues Band" with Rodger Gregory and ace slide guitarist Joel Murphy. We did shows as Ellen Mcllwain's back up band as well. I worked with Frank Locklear's band "Mountain Fever" also. After a two year stint it was back to NM to work with R.C. Gariss, Mikey Wright and Bernie Bowers in the rock band "Trouble". We were recording at John Wagner Studios in Albuquerque. After "Trouble" I played guitar and bass in two trios, "Rock Island" with Mark Rex, and later as the frontman/guitarist for Beaumont Texas techno drummer Big Jim Wiley and "The Shakes" in Ruidoso NM.
While teaching guitar for Cliff McDaniel at Danny's Music Box, I met Doug Gibson of Round Sound Studios in High Rolls, NM. We recorded many of my songs, one titled "Well of Tears" which recieved placement on "With Love From the Flickinger" with Ronnie Arn doing the lead vocals. We also performed as a regional back up band for the "Showdown" competition and worked as "the Whisper Kings" with Rich Evans, Barbie Gibson, Scott Kyle and Jamming Jack Rathgeber.
I settled in Santa Fe and worked for a year with Rebecca Owen's "Open Road Band" with Tak Ledbetter, Justin Knoyes, Guy Nix, and Chris Cooper. We performed Rebecca's original songs at the New Mexico Music awards where she was nominated for female vocalist of the year, and also at the NM State Fair. During this time I toured regionally with "Contemporary Christian" artist Karen Lafferty. She is so much fun to work with and be around. She is a veteran songwriter/performer/producer with the most wonderful sense of humor!
